My name is Kaylah, popularly known as The Lady Kaylah.

I am currently 25 and so far in my years I have led a very interesting life as a geek. Growing up a geek with a super geek of an older brother. 
I was a HUGE reader. Starting with Detective novels and falling in love with Sherlock Holmes, I eventually found my love for fantasy. Specifically Medieval fantasy. My brother introduced me to D&D 3.5 and eventually we ditched that for Pathfinder. 

Because of my upbringing, I wasn't allowed to play video games. But eventually my mom allowed me to play my brother's old PC games and I fell in love with KOTOR, Diablo II, and Max Payne 2 specifically. I have been a PC girl ever since although I have not played PC games heavily for quite a few years now. 

My love for literature led me to forums about A Song of Ice and Fire at 14 years old. I remained a part of that forum for about 5 years and during that time created The Lady Kaylah and made Youtube videos reviewing fantasy novels and then some. I created an amazing community of fellow youtubers and those who loved my content. 
My decline was when I hit college and I focused all my attention on studying literature with a heavy focus on Medieval through Renaissance literature. Some time during my four years in college, my brother passed away and my already budding mental health issues exploded into the intense and painful illness I deal with daily for the past 4 years. I held out for college one more year before I completely broke and abandoned it. 

I found a place in the cosplay community through a friend who took me to cosplay events and I got many many opportunities that I never thought I would as a geek. I did not intend on becoming a cosplayer, but a series of events led me down that path. 
However, I miss my own personal community with our mutually shared interests. I hope I can blend both of these worlds.
